Samsung Electronics has lifted prices for several DDR5 memory products by as much as 60% for November, Reuters reported in an exclusive, citing two sources and distributor Fusion Worldwide.

Contract pricing for 32-GB DDR5 modules rose to $239 from $149 in September, while 16-GB and 128-GB parts climbed about 50%, and 64-GB and 96-GB modules increased 30%+, Reuters reported, attributing the specific figures to Tobey Gonnerman, president of Fusion Worldwide.

Samsung’s latest results materials highlight strong AI-driven demand for HBM and high-density DDR5, but do not disclose contract pricing or recent increases.

Reuters also reported that Samsung delayed publishing October contract prices, which it typically releases monthly, and that large server makers and data-center builders now expect insufficient supply amid a worsening shortage tied to AI data-center buildouts.
