President Donald Trump said the United States “will not let anybody have” NVIDIA’s “most advanced” chips “other than the United States,” in an interview on CBS’ 60 Minutes.

The comment follows his remarks, where he said semiconductors were discussed with China but “we’re not talking about the Blackwell,” he said to reporters.

Nvidia said South Korea’s government and companies will deploy more than 260,000 GPUs across sovereign clouds and AI factories, including 50,000-plus for the Ministry of Science and ICT and large deployments at Samsung, SK Group, Hyundai and NAVER Cloud.

At a developer event last week, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the company has not sought U.S. export licenses for China because “they’ve made it very clear that they don’t want Nvidia to be there right now.”

House China Committee Chair John Moolenaar criticized potential Blackwell sales to China as “akin to giving Iran weapons-grade uranium.”
